Design by Marco Pisati for Marini Marmi
ESSENZA is a collection of home accessories designed by architect Marco Pisati for Marini Marmi, crafted from Nuvolato di Gré and Ceppo di Gré natural stone.
Circles and squares overlap and intersect, creating a family of objects defined by simple geometric forms. These shapes interact with the natural characteristics of the stones, highlighting their textures, veining and colour variations.
The collection’s first prototypes were unveiled during Milan Design Week 2026 at CÀVEA MILANO, Marini Marmi’s showroom designed by Giorgio Rava. ESSENZA explores the relationship between object, material and architecture.
The stones behind the collection
Ceppo di Gré is distinguished by its heterogeneous structure and rich texture, which make every surface unique. Nuvolato di Gré features a fine grain and a grey base crossed by deep veins, with golden accents and white calcite inclusions.
Both stones come from Marini Marmi’s quarry on Lake Iseo and are shaped using techniques that bring out their natural qualities.
