"The city of lovers becomes the city of marble. Verona transforms into a luxurious hub for Marmomac, the international marble and technology trade fair."
In 2019, the 54th edition of Marmomac, the international trade fair for the stone industry, took place. Besides hosting such a globally significant event, Verona is a city that embraces you, where time for love and well-being seems infinite yet fleeting. For four days, you're surrounded by art and beauty. At the fair, your eyes feast on marble and stones from all over the world, unique in their kind, true raw works of art. Language barriers dissolve in the universal language of the stone industry. After a day surrounded by marble and stone, you can't help but dive into Verona's vibrant social life, appreciating its countless facets and voices of different colors. A gentle breeze cools your skin, a glass of Veronese wine, and a risotto with Amarone make the perfect setting for your evening after the fair. And if your eyes aren't tired yet, why not visit the Arena of Verona, take a romantic photo, and sneak a peek at Romeo and Juliet's balcony?
"Our highlight was the Anima Liquida, a work by architect Giorgio Rava, crafted in Ceppo di Gré."
The fair is characterized by B2B meetings, where industry professionals can meet buyers from all over the world. Overall, we are pleased with our various participations in Marmomac. Particularly during the last edition, we received numerous compliments for our exhibition stand, which struck the right balance between aesthetics and functionality. The stand, visible in the gallery photos, was designed by architect Massimo Castagna. Over the four days, we presented not only our materials but also projects realized over time, showcasing the universality of our Ceppo. By the end of the four days, we were tired but happy, carrying many fond memories.
"Because one never tires of beauty and love."
It's true, one never tires of beauty, but everything narrated in these lines, for this year, remains only a bittersweet memory. The coronavirus profoundly impacted the lives of everyone worldwide, disrupting our routines, ways of doing things, the warmth of Italian hospitality, and our social lives. It also upended our industry, and this year, neither we nor you will be able to savor Verona during Marmomac, as all in-person fairs were canceled. For this reason, we decided to change our communication strategy. Post-Covid, we immersed ourselves in the world of social media. We are now active on multiple platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Archdaily, and have a new website and blog. By doing so, we aim to bridge the distances created by this virus.
