Ceppo di Gré
A material that tells the story of the land that has preserved it for centuries, a tale waiting to be told.

Ceppo di Gré is a natural, porous, and durable stone, with a gray/blue color and variable tones. Its heterogeneous composition and "dynamic" appearance are due to the irregular arrangement of clasts that range from a few centimeters to decimeters, making each slab unique. The stone offers numerous finishes, ensuring flexibility for architectural and design projects. Geologically, it is a dolomitic breccia formed by the accumulation of slope debris from Monte Clemo, cemented by meteoric water and transformed into a compact rock.
Finishes
Ceppo di Gré is quarried in the Gré locality, in the municipality of Solto Collina (BG), adhering to strict environmental criteria. The blocks, often containing dolomite or clay inclusions, require careful processing to produce high-quality slabs. Our company, located at the foot of the quarry, has always managed the direct transformation of the blocks. Thanks to its frost resistance and low susceptibility to weathering, Ceppo di Gré is ideal for external paving, including driveways, and facade cladding, ensuring slip resistance even in wet conditions.
This stone, characteristic of Lombard architecture, is CE certified and has obtained the "Original Stones of Bergamo" mark. Its technical characteristics and wide range of available finishes make it suitable for various applications: construction, design, furniture, and urban furnishings. Appreciated internationally, Ceppo di Gré stands out for its ability to integrate with other materials, its versatility enhanced by modern technologies, and the sustainability of its exclusively local production.
