Architect Alfredo De Gregorio chose Ceppo di Gré for the cladding of the Gallo-Romeins Museum in Tongeren, harmonizing contemporary architecture with the historical context of Belgium's oldest city. Inaugurated in 2011 and awarded as "European Museum of the Year," the project introduced Ceppo di Gré to Belgium, favoring it over a beige Turkish stone. Inspired by Milanese buildings, the choice was widely appreciated, making Ceppo di Gré highly popular in the country.
